Double Threat

Dranix is awake for most of the day and night, only sleeping for a couple of hours.

The lack of sleep does not effect him, because when he transforms into fire, his body is energized. When he does rest, he secludes to a mountain cave.

The young Dranix stays with his family pack until he can fly, then he takes off and searches for a mate of his own to start a family with.

Epic Movement

The Dranix is uniquely capable of traveling by foot and in the air.

He is anatomically a combination of a dragon and a pheonix. He is capable of charging 120 mph and soaring through the sky at the same speed.

It is extremly difficult to outpace or catch him, so he is rarely in danger. He has an easy time catching his prey due to his special features.

The Defensive Flame

The Dranix is able to transform into fire when its prey is near.

Its body maintains its shape, but glows from within and is burning hot to the touch. Therefore, any animal that comes in contact with him, instantly gets cooked.

The Dranix likes to eat giant, carnivorous but slow- moving sandworms, poisonous multi-colored snakes, and small scaly lizards.

When under attack, Dranix can open his mouth and blow out forceful breaths of fire to fight back.

A Powerful Presence

Dranix
My animal, the Dranix, stands at 20 feet tall and his wingspan is 10 feet. His curvy, flexible body helps him move between the tall,  prickly, bulbous plants that grow in the burning hot red sand in the Kanubi desert where he lives. He weighs more than a whale, at over 200 tons. The Dranix has claws, a long neck, a scaly long tail, and four strong legs.
